ポイントレイズ国立海浜公園の灯台 ❖ Lighthouse @ Point Rayes National Seashore Park

今回は風が強くないので、灯台へ。

The stairs to the Lighthouse were open this time.

灯台に到着

We all made it to the Lighthouse...a piece of cake.

いい笑顔です、帰りの階段のことなど考えていません。

At this point we were all smiling and enjoying the amazing view...

308段の階段を上ります。

Umm...308 steps to climb up?

もう誰も微笑んではいません。無言で上るのみ。

We were not smiling anymore...

灯台での天気は急に変わります。

The weather at the Lighthouse changes drastically.

3月にポイントレイズ国立海浜公園へ行った時は、強風で灯台への階段は封鎖されていましたが、今回は大丈夫でした。霧もなく風に吹き飛ばされそうになる心配もない良い天気に恵まれ、心を落ち着けて景色を楽しむことができました。コリン、コリンのお父さんと三人で灯台へ。灯台から眺める景色は本当に最高でした。景色を満喫した後、308段もある階段を息絶え絶え上りきると、周りは深い霧に包まれ、風も強くなり、まるで別世界に来たようでした（ビデオを参照）。さすがに「北米西海岸で一番強い風が吹く名所」と知られた場所です。ここは本当にワイルドな場所なのでした。

When we visited the Lighthouse at Point Rayes National Seashore Park in March, the Lighthouse was closed due to strong winds. Several weeks later, we went back there again. It was a nice sunny day. This time, the Lighthouse was open. Colin, his father, and I made it to the Lighthouse and enjoyed a spectacular view from the point. But, by the time we climbed all 308 steps back (yes, 308 steps...), the weather changed completely. It got very windy (again!) and foggy (see the video). You couldn't see anything. What an amazing place!
