羽咋の友人から沖縄土産のシーサーが届きました。ライオン又は犬が原型とのこと。シーサーは、沖縄の有名な魔除けの獅子ですね。今日からアメリカでの生活を守ってくれる強い見方が参上です。心強いなあ。ありがとう。

A very good friend of mine, from my home town, sent me statues of Shisa from her last trip to Okinawa. Shisa is a famous Okinawan mythical creature (lion or dog) who protects people from all the evils in the world. As we now have Shisa on our side, our new life in the U.S. is going to be all right. Arigato so much!
