ポイントレイズ国立海浜公園でハイキングを楽しんだ後、ランチを食べるのがポイント‧レイズ‧ステーションの『Station House Cafe』です。ランチは午後3時半までオープンしているので、ハイキングの後の遅めのランチにぴったり。『Station House Cafe』では、地元で穫れたオーガニックの食材を豊富に使ったおいしい料理が頂けます。息を飲むほどの美しい自然と、おいしい食べ物が盛り沢山のポイント‧レイズをもっと沢山の人達にも知ってもらいたいものです。サンフランシスコへの旅行を計画しておられる方は、是非ポイント‧レイズへ。ポイント‧レイズ宣伝部からのお知らせでした（笑）。

Station House Cafe is one of our favourite places to eat at Point Reyes Station. It's a perfect place to go after a long hike (they serve their lunch until 3:30pm). They serve local organic food, and it's very good. We had wonderful deep fried oysters for lunch (not oily at all). If you ever go to Point Reyes Station (and I really hope you do!), you don't want to miss this place. I'll promise you're going to love it ♡ What I want to try next is called "Hangtown Fry" in which oysters are breaded and fried, and then cooked in an "omelet" with eggs. Doesn't that sound SO good?

バードウォッチングに只今夢中のコリンに付き合い、ポイント‧レイズにある野鳥観測所に行って来ました。短い時間で楽しめるハイキングコースもあるので、行く価値が大です。「けもの道」に違いないと、少しばかり不安になったハイキングコースですが、ちゃんとしたコースなので、心配無用です。この野鳥観測所は、人里離れた場所にあり、お手洗いの心配がありましたが（相変わらずですね）、観測所の横にあるたった一つのお手洗いは、スタッフの方が常に清潔に保ってくれているようで、驚くほどきれい！これで、私の満足度は一気に倍増です（私の満足度は、清潔なお手洗いがあるかないかで決まります）。

この人里離れたポイント‧レイズの野鳥観測所に行かれる際は、とてもチャーミングな『Bolinas』という小さな街が麓にありますので、是非探索することをお勧めします♡

A visit to the Point Reyes Bird Observatory was on my birder husband's wish list for some time. It's a lovely place for a short hike. The Nature Trail we walked did look (to me) like it was made by wild animals at first. But, don't worry, it becomes more "civilized" later. We even saw a nice little bridge, with steps to climb up a steep hill. We got there pretty late (after 4 o'clock), so there was nobody on the trail. It's a pretty isolated place. But fear not, they have a VERY clean washroom (yaaaay!). 

When you decide to venture out to Point Reyes Bird Observatory, makes sure to explore the very charming town called Bolinas.
