A new IKEA tray has joined my tray collection ($5.99)

先週の土曜日に『IKEA』へ行って来ました。私達が住んでいるマリンカウンティにIKEAはないので、Alameda county（アラメダカウンティ）にあるEmeryville（エメリービル市）のIKEAへ。

IKEAの家具は、きちんと組み立てられた試しがないのと、すぐに飽きてしまうデザインが多いので意識して買わないようにしています。でも、IKEAのパンフレットを観てあれやこれやと思いめぐらせるのは好き（複雑な人間！）。じゃあ一体、IKEAに何を買いに行くのかというと...スウェーデンのお菓子♡。まずは、さっさとショールームを歩き、IKEAのレストランへ到着。IKEAは、カナダでもアメリカでもいつも混雑していますね。IKEAでしっかりとランチを食べるのは今回が初めて。半信半疑で色々とチョイスしてみましたが、これが以外にも美味しくて驚きました。『白身魚のチーズパン粉焼き』なんかは、本当に美味しかった（たったの4.99ドルですよお）。IKEAの75セントコーヒーも美味しくて、家の近くにIKEAのレストランがないのがとても残念です。日本のIKEA レストランでは、カレーライスがメニューにあるとのこと。羨ましい！

レストランの後は、肝心のスウェーデンフードマーケットです。ここが、私のお気に入りの場所♡　カナダのIKEAでは、『IKEA Food』ブランド以外のスウェーデンのお菓子も売っていたのですが、このエメリービルのIKEAには、残念なことに『IKEA Food』しかありません。それでも『IKEA Food』のスウェーデン菓子を買い込み、いつの日かスウェーデンを旅する日を夢見るのでありました。

We no longer buy IKEA furniture as it is almost impossible to assemble properly, and it is not built to last. However we often go to IKEA for their Swedish sweets. We don't have an IKEA in Marin county so we drove to the city of Emeryville in Alameda county. This is our first visit to IKEA in the U.S. IKEA is always packed with people whether you're visiting the one in Canada or in the U.S.!

We walked through the IKEA showrooms as quickly as possible to reach our first destination (no time to waste!)... the IKEA restaurant. We were very impressed with how tasty their food was! The "Saithe Herb Crusted Fish" was amazingly good! And, the 75¢ IKEA coffee was really good too. Was IKEA food always this good? So inexpensive and so good!

Our final destination at IKEA was the Food market. I personally love this section of IKEA. Back in Canada, they also carried real Swedish sweets, which are not "IKEA FOOD." But, sadly the IKEA in Emeryville didn't have anything like that. But, we got our fill of IKEA sweets so that we can continue dreaming of a day when we actually travel to Sweden!
