マリン郡（カウンティー）側からゴールデン·ゲート·ブリッジを渡る手前で左折すると、マリン·ヘッドランズに入ります。そこから眺めるゴールデン·ゲート·ブリッジは素晴らしく、思わずカメラを向けずにはいられません。ゴールデン·ゲート·ブリッジを堪能した後は、古い軍事要塞をみてみましょう。立派な要塞です。重要な場所であったことは一目瞭然です。曲がりくねった道路を進んでいくと、素晴らしい景色が眼下に続きます。途中、ビジターセンターで休憩する価値あり（無料で、マリン·ヘッドランズの詳しい地図も手に入ります）。昔の古い教会をそのままに、中はセンスの良いビジターセンターとなっています。マリン·ヘッドランズを全てみてまわるには、最低でも丸一日かかります。時間をかけ、安全運転で、美しい風景をたっぷり堪能してください。タフで元気なサイクリストにはご注意を。

Just before you cross over the Golden Gate Bridge from the Marin county side, you can turn left to the Marin Headlands to enjoy a marvellous view of the Golden Gate Bridge. I never get tired of looking at it. It's such a beautiful bridge. If you keep driving into the Marin Headlands, you see a historic site that was used for military seashore fortification. It is impressive. And, the winding road will take you to another breathtaking view of the bay. You will want to stop at the visitor's center. It's inside an old cozy church. You can get a free map of the area, and lots of information. You need a full day to visit all the nature lover's attractions at the Marin Headlands. You can't hurry along the winding roads. Even if you do, you will get stuck at the historical 5 minute tunnel.  Take your time, watch out for extreme cyclists, and enjoy the stunning views of the bay.
