私のブログを定期的に読んで頂いている方なら（ありがとう！）、私がMietteのファンということをご存知かと思います（ココ♡とココ♡で）。サンフランシスコのベイエリアでは有名なスイーツのお店です。一ヶ月ほど前の日曜日に、いつものようにコリンと近所のMietteへ大好きなマカロンを買いに行くと、Mietteのオーナーのメグさんが一人、お店にいるではないですか（Mietteはベイエリアにいくつものお店を出しています）。このメグさん、お店と同様、とても可愛らしい女性で、Mietteのウェブサイトのこのビデオ（これ❤）を観ていたのですぐにわかりました。メグさんはとても気さくな方で、ティーネージャーの娘さんがいらして、時々娘さんにも店番をさせ、ビジネスの経験させているの、とおっしゃっていました。メグさんは、ファーマーズマーケットでお菓子を売ったのが始まりで、今ではグルメなサンフランシスコで、知らない人はいない有名なスイーツのお店にまで成功させました。すごいですね。日曜日は、よくこのお店に来ていると教えていただいたので、それならばと早速、本屋さんに行ってMietteの本を買い、サインしてもらうことに。それから毎週、日曜日になるとメグさんがいるかしらん？とお店を覗いていたのですが...なかなか出会う機会がありませんでした。いつも私達夫婦に親切にしてくれるお店の女性の方が、なんなら私が本を預かってメグさんにサインしてもらいましょうか？と申し出てくれました。という経過で、先週末Mietteから電話があり、サインしていただいた本を手にいれたとわけです。Happy Baking ♡

If you happen to be following my blog (here♡ & here♡), you know I love Miette (or anything sweet for that matter). One Sunday, Colin and I went to Miette to get a couple of (or a dozen...) macarons, which we do more often than we should. There, we met the owner of Miette for the first time. We recognize her because we've watched this on the Miette website. She was as lovely as she appears in her video. We said hello and introduced ourselves as a couple from Canada, which we do very often in the U.S. (People seem to like it when we tell them where we're from). She told us that she's often at the Larkspur shop on Sundays (she has a couple of stores in the San Francisco Bay Area). We then went to a book store, and bought a Miette book hoping that she would sign our book the next time we saw her. Every Sunday after that, we popped into Miette to see whether she was there, but we had no luck. Then, a nice Miette shop lady kindly offered to keep our book and ask the owner to sign it when she gets in next. We got a phone call from the shop last Sunday, and we picked up our signed book! We were so happy that we celebrated by eating more Miette macarons. Happy Baking ♡
