It's 21℃ in February. Unbelievable !

この日はなんと2月なのに、21℃！

French fries, Dutch style.

They came with aioli and ketchup instead of Dutch mayo. 

The fries were totally amazing!

We probably spent more time at the de Young Cafe than we did looking at all the paintings at the exhibition (Food always wins over art for me). The museum cafe is just as amazing as the museum itself. You might not know this but, we spent lots of time at the Dutch House during the Vancouver Winter Olympic (eating fun Dutch fast food like this), and we fell in love with the Netherlands ♡ We made sure our lunch carried a Dutch theme.  

We devoured the fries (need to order two servings next time). The platter of smoked fish was great, but it was a bit too much fish for a midday meal. Colin ate most of the shrimp sandwich, and he loved it. This is a great place to have lunch. The cafe is open to everyone (you don't need a museum admission ticket to eat there). We'll bring our bikes to the park next time, and have lunch at the de Young Cafe♡

『de Young』ミュージアムのカフェは、ミュージアムに劣らない素敵なカフェ。オランダの絵を堪能した後は、オランダ風のランチです。2010年バンクーバー冬季オリンピックですっかりオランダファンになった私達夫婦。『オランダハウス』でスポーツ観戦！と言いたいところですが、ここでも食べ物が優先しました（笑）。オリンピック中、おいしいオランダのファーストフードを堪能（これ）。という訳で、ミュージアムのカフェで、真っ先に注文したのがオランダ風フライドポテト。どこが「オランダ風」かというとマヨネーズをつけて食べるところ。カフェではアイオリと一緒に出てきました。オランダ風にスモークされたお魚の盛り合わせは、おいしいのですが、ランチとしては日本人の私にもちょっとお魚だらけでしたね（笑）。サンドイッチの方は、コリンがほとんど全部一人で食べました。このカフェは、ミュージアムのチケットなしでも入れるので、ゴールデンゲートパークに遊びに来た際、カフェでランチを食べるのもいいですね。今度は、今は倉庫で深い眠りについている折りたたみ式の自転車を持って、パークに来ようと思います。そして、ランチはカフェで。
