食事の時間... ❖ Dinner Time Chaos

ごはんですよー！

Dinner!

MISOは、食事の時間が迫ってくると、「野生」に戻ります。まず、餌を与える役目の私の周り2メートル以内にKUMOを寄せつけません。KUMOが近寄ってくると、即座に追っ払います。私の周りをぐるぐるまわり、お腹がすいたと泣き、早くごはんちょーだいと懇願します。心やさしいKUMOは、MISOのこの失礼極まりない態度にもだまって耐える『おしん』のようです。誰とも餌の取り合いをする必要がないのに、我が家に来た頃から食事の時間になるとものすごい剣幕。保護されてから、他の子猫達とご飯の取り合いをしていたのかもしれません。他の子猫達を追っ払いながら、ご飯にありつく勇敢な三本足のMISOの姿が想像できます...食事中のMISOには決して近寄らないように。KUMOからの忠告です。

Dinner time (or Breakfast time) is chaotic at our place. It's all because of MISO. She becomes very protective of her food. She makes sure that KUMO does not come within a 2 meter radius of the feeder (me). If KUMO approaches the kitchen, MISO chases her away. She circles around, cries, and begs. It's very entertaining at times. MISO starts exercising this ritual half an hour prior to her actual feeding time. Some days, she gets so worked up during the feeding, that she throws up everything she just ate. She has never needed to fight for her food at our place as KUMO is such a gentle cat. This erratic behaviour must have been developed while she was at her foster home, fighting for her food with other kittens... MISO may be three legged, but she is definitely a fighter and always comes out the winner!
