気温が37度もなければ、もっと長く高台で時間を過ごしたかった...。

We would have stayed there longer, but it was 37℃ !

レースキットを受け取った後、スタート地点となるソノマ湖をチェックすることにしました。スタート地点は、ソノマ湖のビジターセンターです。ビジターセンターを通過して更にドライブすると、ソノマ湖を見渡せる高台に到着します。ビジターセンターからは湖は見えないので、レース前日又は、レース後に、高台へ立ち寄ることをお勧めします。高台からみるソノマ湖は、息を飲むほどの美しさです。カリフォルニアブルーの空と同じ色の湖。翌日のレースが楽しみになってきました❤

『Water to Wine Half Marathon』シリーズは明日も続きます。

Before we drove back home, we decided to drive up to Lake Sonoma to see the start line. The Lake Sonoma Visitor's Centre is where you actually start. We passed the visitor's centre and drove all the way up to the Lake Sonoma Overlook. Oh boy, are we ever glad we did. The view from the overlook was breathtaking. The colour of the lake is the same colour as the sky. So blue and so beautiful ❤ You can't see the lake from where you start the race. So you HAVE TO GO to the overlook before or after the race to enjoy the spectacular views!
