８月12日に行われた『Water to Wine Half Marathon』のレース前日、車で１時間半ほどかけてソノマカウンティへ。『アルダーブルック‧ワイナリー（Alderbrook Winery）』で、レースキットのピックアップです。ワイナリーに着いたのは正午過ぎ、そして気温はなんと37度！翌日のレースが心配になってきました...
レースはソノマ湖からスタートし、『アルダーブルック‧ワイナリー（Alderbrook Winery）』でフィニッシュです。フィニッシュ地点のワイナリーに車を駐車したい場合は、レースキットピックアップの際に、無料シャトルバスのチケットをリクエストすることが必要です（数に限りがあります）。レース当日の朝、シャトルバスは、４台用意されます（6:00, 6:05, 6:10, 6:15）。チケットをピックアップする際に、バスに乗る時間を指定。当日、チケットに指定されたバス時間に乗り遅れると、次のバスには乗れないのでご注意を。レースは朝７時スタートです。ワイナリーからスタート地点のソノマ湖までは、バスで20分ほどです。
ワイン好きの方は、レース前日又は、レース後にワインテイスティングを楽しむことができます。レース前日は、テイスティング料は10ドル（ワインを１本購入する場合は無料）です。レース後は、参加者全員がテイスティングを３回無料で楽しむことができます。

A day before the Water to Wine Half Marathon, we drove to Sonoma County to pick up our race packages. It's about an hour and a half drive from where we live. By the time we arrived at the Alderbrook Winery, the temperature was 37℃!
The race starts at Lake Sonoma and finishes at the Alderbrook Winery. If you wish to park your car at the finish (that's what we did), you can pick up a bus ticket with your package (seats are limited). A free shuttle will take you to the start line in the morning. There is 4 shuttles running (6:00, 6:05, 6:10, 6:15). You'll be assigned to a particular bus so if you are late, you won't be able to get on. The race starts at 7am sharp, and it is about a 20 minute bus ride to Lake Sonoma.
If you are a wine lover, you can do a wine tasting when you pick up your package on the day before the race (it's free if you buy a bottle of wine otherwise $10 for the tasting) or after the race (3 free wine sample tastings for race participants).
